CryptoSlate Daily wMarket Update – Oct. 4: XRP, Dogecoin lead rally as Bitcoin reclaims $20,000

The cryptocurrency market saw inflows totaling up to $15.34 billion over the past 24 hours, pushing the total crypto market cap to $966.56 billion as of press time.

With another day of growth, Bitcoin’s (BTC) market cap reached $387.57 billion, up 2.24% from $379.06 billion over the past 24 hours. Ethereum’s (ETH) market cap grew 1.5% over the past day to reach $166.42 billion at the time of writing, from $163.96 billion the previous day.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies continued in the green, with Dogecoin bagging the biggest gains after XRP at 7.75% as Tesla CEO Elon Musk proposed a new acquisition offer for Twitter. The prices of Solana (SOL) and Ripple (XRP), which snagged the highest gains on Oct. 3, continued their second day in the green with s 3.01% and 8.23% gain over the past 24 hours, respectively.

The market cap of USD Coin (USDC) saw its third straight day of decline, falling to $46.72 billion over the past 24 hours from $47.17 billion the previous day. Tether’s (USDT) market cap increased marginally to $68.07 billion from $67.95 billion the day before. BinanceUSD (BUSD) market cap dipped slightly over the past 24 hours to $21.03 billion.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin price saw its second day of growth in a row, climbing 2.78% over the past 24 hours to trade at around $20,218 at the time of writing. The largest cryptocurrency’s market dominance increased to 40.1% from 39.9% the previous day.

Barring a few dips, BTC price traded with an upward bias through most of the day. However, around 23:00 UTC, Bitcoin’s price started declining slightly. Over the past 24 hours, BTC price went as low as $19,840 and climbed as high as $20,363.

The U.S. stock market also saw a second day of growth, strengthening the bullish sentiment.

Ethereum

ETH price growth slowed compared to the previous day, gaining 1.36% over the past 24 hours to trade at around $1,356 at press time. However, the second largest cryptocurrency’s market dominance fell marginally to 17.2% during the period, despite the price growth.

ETH price saw more volatility than BTC price over the past 24 hours, starting from around $1,337 and going as high as $1,369 at around 20:00 UTC.

Bitcoin Standard Hahrate Token

BTCST snagged the biggest gains over the past 24 hours, growing 21.76% to trade at around $10.52 at the time of writing. The token’s market cap reached $128.48 million during the period. BTCST has lost over 40% of its value over the past year.

Helium

After suffering losses on the previous day, HNT posted 9.93% gains over the past 24 hours, trading at around $5.34 at press time. The token’s market capitalization stood at $682.11 million. HNT is up 39.72% over the past month.

RenderToken

RNDR rose 9.49% over the past 24 hours to trade at around $0.50 at the time of publishing. At around 10:00 UTC, RNDR price started climbing sharply from $0.47 until it reached $0.55 at around noon UTC. After that, the price dropped with a few spikes in between. The market cap of RNDR was $128.38 million at the time of writing.

PUNDIX grew 8.5% over the past 24 hours to trade at around $0.51 as of press time. The token’s market capitalization stood at $132.91 million. The token traded slightly upward through most of the day until it leaped from $0.48 to $0.51 at around 00:00 UTC.

DESO widened its gains by growing 7.26% over the past 24 hours to trade at around $14.25 at the time of writing. The token’s market cap hovered at $126.63 million as of press time, up from $119.63 the previous day.
