The Global Esports Federation and Flare Networks have entered into a new global partnership to bring together blockchain and dynamic esports communities worldwide.

Adrian F. Lismore, GEF (Global Esports Federation) Board Member and Chair of Finance, Legal and Administration Commission said they are excited to launch the partnership. One of GEF’s core values is the innovation that aims at giving the community limitless opportunities, excitement, and hope, he added.

Additionally, he stated that the latest development would pave the way for the esports community to interact with the blockchain. He concluded by congratulating Flare Networks, its CEO, and the team for the initiative.

“We believe wholeheartedly in the mission of the Global Esports Federation to connect the world through esports. At Flare, we are committed to building a fair, fast, decentralized, and low carbon footprint network where individuals and communities can take better control of their collective futures and experience and interact with each other in ways not previously possible,” said Hugo Philion, co-founder and CEO of Flare Networks.

“Gaming and esports are an area where we think blockchain has exciting applications. Through this fantastic partnership with GEF, we hope to foster an enriched, democratized, and better-connected esports community, #UnlockingValue,” he added.

The GEF is an organization whose main goals are to promote the integrity, lawfulness, and stature of esports. Through its inclusive initiative, the GEF brings together players, athletes, world publishers, developers, sporting organizations, and industry partners. The organization upholds the integration of esports, sports, and modern technology to create a competitive future for esports and entertainment. GEF initiatives and partnerships service the needs of the global esports’ community and work toward the achievement of its mission.

Flare, on the other hand, is a scalable, energy-efficient, cost-efficient, and highly decentralized smart contract platform. It runs the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and utilizes Federated Byzantine Agreement-based consensus.

Uniquely, Flare leverages its underlying integrated networks to develop its network, thereby benefitting from their security and decentralization. The platform’s native token is known as Spark (FLR). Its diverse developers’ team consists of experts in various fields such as engineering, electronics, distributed systems, and quantum computing.
