Shang-Chi is one of the highest-grossing films of 2021. The movie got its theatrical release back in September, however, due to the aftermath of Covid-19, a lot of people now prefer to stream movies on their personal devices and enjoy them in the comforts of their homes.
For such people in India, the movie is now available to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar. The movie is not only available in Hindi and English but is also dubbed in other regional languages like Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil, though the subtitles are available in English.
For those unaware, Shang-Chi is a standalone move with mostly Asian actors and a storyline that doesn’t have too many references from Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. And in case you’re hoping to see some of the characters from MCU’s other movies to make their presence felt in Shang-Chi, then you might be disappointed. It only has Wong from Dr Strange appearing at a couple of places.

Coming back to the movie, it has Simu Liu playing the role of Shan-Chi aka Shawn who works as a valet in San Francisco. He’s a martial arts expert who hides this fact from his friend (and us viewers) till they are attacked by a group of fighters led by Razor Fist.
The plot then takes Shawn to travel all the way to Macau in search of his sister who miraculously appears to be the club fighter he’s pitted against. Much co-incidence isn’t it. But if you could ignore these little things here and there, you’ll enjoy the way Sawn/Shang-Chi along with his sister and a few others reach Ta Lo, their mothers’ mystical village.
The movie has Tony Leung as Wenwu as Shawn’s father and the leader of the criminal organization the Ten Rings. To watch how Shang-Chi, his sister and other people of the village fight with the bad guys and the spirit eating demons, stream the movie on Disney Plus Hotstar now.
