MEXC Global has again extended its hand in social responsibility towards the community. The exchange platform is channeling its charity to assist in preventing the recent wildfire incidents in Turkey.
Statistics show that in July this year, over 60 fires had spread to a total of 21 Turkish cities. A number of regions such as Manisa, Muğla, Adana, and Kayseri continue to experience the disastrous effects of these forest fires. Roughly 160,000 hectares of land have gone up in flames, according to the European Forest Fire Information System. The disastrous events continue to accumulate even as the nation’s authorities evacuate citizens to safer ground.
MEXC is now part of the supporters of the wildfire survivors. The exchange is donating considerable funds through the Turkish Philanthropy Fund (TPF) and the Ogem-Vak Foundation. The former is a credible foundation that looks out for the needs of Turkish and American communities. It works round the clock to broaden its giving and simultaneously maintain transparency and minimal overhead costs.
TPF intends to raise $250,000 for the Turkey 2021 Wildfire Relief Fund campaign. So far, it has managed to raise a total of $185,000. Moving forwards, TPF will collaborate with organizations such as MEXC to send donations to urgently needed areas. Specifically, survivors will be assisted with items such as food, shelter, fuel, clean water, and medicine. For transparency, all donors, including MEXC, will receive a detailed report of all fund allocations.
On the other hand, the Ogem-Vak Foundation is an entity that concentrates on afforestation in forest-fire afflicted regions. The Foundation recognizes the importance of forests in terms of air purification, oxygen circulation, biodiversity, nutrient cycling, and providing wood and habitat for living creatures. MEXC plans to donate a number of saplings to the Ogem-Vak Foundation to promote afforestation in Muğla.
Notably, MEXC Global provides cryptocurrency trading services but is also taking part in curbing calamities. In the past, the exchange assisted India when it was badly hit by the covid-19 crisis. On top of that, MEXC supplied food and clothing to China’s flood victims in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. MEXC is, therefore, a premier exchange services provider in addition to a promoter of global well-being.
