After years of existing in a void of film purgatory, 20th Century Fox’s X-Men spinoff The New Mutants is finally gearing up to be released.
The newest trailer of the movie shows off some of the changes director Josh Boone has made. The film has existed in a purgatory of reshoots and delays both before and after Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, along with fears that Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige — who now is in charge of X-Men movies after the deal — would shelve the movie.
The film is described as “an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring.” Together they’ll try to figure out what’s happening as “strange occurrences begin to take place,” and…
