TimeCoinProtocol a decentralized sharing economy protocol using the Ethereum blockchain allows individuals or organizations to build and operate their sharing economy applications. The protocol also allows third-party applications. Notably, the project puts a strong focus on the Creator Economy and Gig Economy called TimeTicket. Some of the Creator Economy applications include GameTomodachi, eSportStarrs, and NeoRad.
TimeTicket functions as a bridge between people who want to provide services by selling their own time and people who wish to purchase them. TimeTicket allows users to buy and sell personal time in a 30-minute unit. Since its launch three and half years ago, TimeTicket has grown rapidly by over 40 folds. The number of TimeTicket users has now reached approximately 500,000 and generates several million US dollars in sales.
Masato Kakamu, TimeTicket GmbH CEO, explained in a recent AMA:
“We want to create a place where professional players, creators, and fans can easily earn money which also helps them to better engage with their fans. To extend the GameTomodachi and eSportStars service, we want to offer esports gambling as well. We offer eSports mining for participants to earn TimeCoin. The more TimeCoin participants own, the better service they can get.”
The project has a native token called TimeCoin (TMCN) already listed in some major exchanges. The project was -initially financed by a few investors who raised around $4 million. There are currently a minimal number of tokens placed on the market.
TimeCoin’s GameTomodachi is a game player matching application that targets the international market. Influencers in the gaming industry and game players can use this application to sell tickets that a buyer can play games with or against the sellers. This application is scheduled to be released in September 2021. The application will support more than 1,000 games. It will also support more than 30 languages, making it earlier for players who do not understand English to navigate the platform without seeking third-party applications. Reportedly, the project will initially focus on the Indian market and expand to other regions in the coming days.
The eSportStars is an esports tournament management application, while NeoRad Production is a VTuber management service that targets the global market.
In the coming days, the TimeCoinProtocol will implement a DeFi system called Creator Sponsor Staking (CSS) and NFT functionalities allowing VTubers and other creators to trade their NFT items. These new additions will help users increase their TimeCoin holding by 12% after six months of staking and 24% after 12 months of staking.
To facilitate these new changes, the protocol plans to launch off-market token sales. The token deals will involve 10,000,000 tokens, which will be sold at more than a 90% discount on the current market value. Users can purchase the token on the TimeCoinProtocol website using either, BTC, USDT, ETH.
